[Insert funny and cool greeting here]. So today we woke up and did the unthinkable, ate breakfast at 8 am. We must admit, though, that some may have slept in until 11 (or later). For those of us early birds (or hungry people), following breakfast we spent some time perfecting our PechaKucha presentations. The PechaKucha slideshows require 20 slides featuring only pictures, with a time limit of 20 seconds per slide. Basically, a bunch of gifted kids have to learn how to be concise.

Afterwards, some of us returned upstairs to hibernate, while others took on Castiligio Fiorentino. At some point, everybody made it out to the weekly flea market to pick up some trinkets. While some attended Italian Mass, others headed up to Torre del Cassero, the tower at the top of Castiglion Fiorentino. Up there, we witnessed a great view and some really loud bells. Then we walked through the museums again and headed down to the main square for hanging out and lunch. Those who weren’t tower climbing raided Gala (the local grocery store) for everyone’s favorite, Lemon Soda. Of course, much of this was followed by gelato.

This afternoon, there was a general consensus to nap and work more on our slideshows. We continued to have life mapping meetings with Mr. Greig this afternoon, and interspersed some of us swam in the pool on the fourth floor. Don’t worry freshman, this pool actually exists. We came back together for a lovely dinner of pasta resembling hamburger helper but way more Italian and way tastier and another of our favorites, mystery meat (pt. 3?). We then had multiple desserts including watermelon, gelato, and some cake for our resident birthday boy Wesley (WeSLAY) Bowers. He’s 19! All in all, it’s been a great day. Even WeSLAY approves. Buonanotte!
