Project Description
Howdy! My name is Laura Key, and I am from Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. I am so excited to attend Texas A&M, and plan to major in Business Honors and minor in Spanish. In high school, I was in the International Spanish Academy, an academic immersion language and culture program. I have been able to teach Spanish classes at a nearby retirement home, serve abroad on mission trips, and volunteer at an ISA K-8th private school’s summer camp. I have also loved my experiences with National Charity League, a mother-daughter philanthropy organization; Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, a program dedicated to impact through action; Principal’s Leadership Committee, a fundraising committee for designated non-profit organizations; Walton Ambassador Program, a mentorship program benefiting ninth-grade students; and Georgia Secretary of State Student Ambassadors, a program dedicated to increasing civic engagement and voter registration among high school students. After school, extracurricular activities, and homework, you can often find me at the gym, trail running, or at Whole Foods or a coffee shop with friends. I am thrilled to meet all of you and visit Italy together!
