Project Description
Howdy! My name is Laura Roots, and I am from Fort Worth, Texas. I have spent my time balancing my sometimes strange and unrelated interests such as playing folk guitar, teaching younger kids to code, dancing in ballet, competing in seemingly unrelated UIL events, reading classical novels, running away from zombies, knitting unfinished scarves, and even binge-watching Netflix. I have taken on leadership positions in scouting and National Honor Society. I love spending time helping and leading others whenever I can, but I especially love spending time with my two dogs, Percy (a Sheltie) and Zoe (a Yorkie-Jack Russell Terrier). Something unique about me is that I am (not) mildly obsessed with early nineteenth-century British poetry. I plan to go into engineering, and am leaning towards either Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
