My name is Joshua Korb. I grew up in Burleson, Texas, a town just south of Fort Worth. I have played select soccer since I was 11 years old as a goalkeeper. My favorite activity is snowboarding, which I would have done way more often had I lived somewhere where it snows. When not outside, I enjoy reading, keeping up with world events, and watching soccer. At Texas A&M I plan to major in biomedical sciences or physics and ultimately to attend medical school. In sixth grade, I read Ben Carson’s book Gifted Hands, which inspired me to go into medicine and become a neurosurgeon. Having a love for world events, travel, and learning about other cultures, I am very excited about this opportunity to go to Italy and look forward to meeting my fellow travelers and future classmates.
