Today, we left Castiglion Fiorentino and headed for our final stop of this trip: Venice! We started the day with an early breakfast in order to catch the bus to Venice at 8:30 am. The bus ride was about four hours long. During that time, many of us chose to catch up on journaling, life mapping, and most importantly sleep. We made a quick stop at a convenience store for pizza and paninis for lunch.
Shortly after lunch, we arrived in Venice and then made our way to the dock. We headed to the barrier island known as The Lido where we will be staying at the Hotel Cristallo. On the ferry, we soaked up the beautiful views of churches, restaurants, and gondolas. After the quick ferry ride, we unloaded our luggage and began the 20 minute walk to our hotel. We were welcomed into the city by markets, gelaterias, and many restaurants all within walking distance of our hotel. After unpacking, many headed to the Al Cantlon Beach for some swimming and sunbathing. We met back up again before walking to dinner at a local restaurant. Our delicious dinner consisted of salad, lasagna, and tiramisu. After dinner, we were free to explore this new and exciting city before returning for our regular 11:00 curfew
